HPV Vaccine (popularly known as the cervical cancer vaccine), is emerging as the most effective measure for prevention of cervical cancer. It works against HPV strains which are most commonly associated with cervical cancer. In addition, Quadrivalent vaccine also protects against HPV types responsible for genital warts. An efficacy of 99% has been reported against warts, vulvar and vaginal neoplasia and cervical cancer. • Even if you are vaccinated, PAP smear is recommended every 3-5 years after the age of 40 years
