PCOS Management for Busy Women

PCOS has become increasingly common, reaching epidemic proportions. Weight loss is an effective way to counter PCOS. In current times of erratic work schedules and long working hours, finding time to exercise or even sleep adequately seems like a long shot. Here’s what busy bees can do to manage PCOS

  1. Check your weight and measurements weekly. It helps to keep track of your progress.

  2. Try to eat and sleep at fixed time. Avoid gadgets at night. A restful sleep aids fat loss

  3. Carry small tiffins with healthy snacks in your work bag. Fruits, dry fruits, chana, roasted seeds etc are few good options. Snack on them between meals. It helps maintain blood glucose levels steady and prevents cravings.

  4. Take a 10 minute stroll after meals. A walk to catch up with work buddies or going to nearby shop counts!

  5. Choose stairs instead of lift. For loo breaks, use a washroom on a different floor than yours.

  6. Park your vehicle a few minutes walk away from your workplace

  7. Do not skip breakfast. A hearty breakfast kick starts your metabolism and helps to burn calories.

  8. Find 20-30 minutes at least 3 times in a week to workout. Running, dancing, yoga, lifting weights, everything counts. Do what you enjoy.

  9. Have your dinner at least 2 hours prior to bedtime.

  10. Manage your stress. Switch off from work once home, meditate, spend time in nature. These help you unwind and have better focus.
